Former-President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden have one of those friendships that you don’t see a lot anymore in politics — after all, there’s a reason why they were described as “America’s BFFs.”
And the Internet noticed this, which led to the only natural outcome: it was memeified. Who can forget the Obama-Biden memes, which appeared shortly after the disastrous election? They were funny, savvy, and highlighted just how close the two men were. Other memes followed, but few achieved the popularity of the original ones, which seemed to saturate the Internet.

Like most of us, though, he has a favorite. According to his daughter, it’s this one — the picture of Obama and Biden hugging, captioned with Obama telling Joe that “I’m not leaving my wife for you”:
“See? Doesn’t this feel right?”

I think it’s telling that Joe Biden can laugh at it; it makes him approachable in a way that many politicians have a hard time with. For instance, I couldn’t even imagine Trump laughing at something that funny — but then, I have hard time imagining Trump’s orange-tinted botox-enriched face cracking a smile, even if I have seen that mockery of happiness he passes off as mirth with my own eyes before.
