Twitter Owns Trump After He Attack-Tweets Civil Rights Icon John Lewis

John Lewis will be on Meet the Press this Sunday. In the pre-recorded interview it is reported he said:

You know, I believe in forgiveness. I believe in trying to work with people. It will be hard. It’s going to be very difficult. I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president.

This, of course, has sent His Orangeness into a Twitter tiff. Trump tweeted:

Let that sink in for just a moment. A man who has done absolutely nothing in public service his entire life, a man whose sole focus has been to make money for himself, a man who has lived the life of a playboy and a bully, the reality-star president-elect — yes, that guy — just attacked a man known for being one of the “Big Six” of the civil rights movement. The guy who marched, who was arrested, who has devoted his life to creating change. You know who else was part of the “Big Six”? Martin Luther King, Jr.

Oh, by the way, this is also on the eve of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.

John Lewis has done more for our country and the people of his district than Trump can ever dream of accomplishing.

This irony was not lost on Twitter users.

Sooooo presidential! Psst. . . Trump. Your racism is showing.
