If you spend any time on social media at all, you have probably run across the newest darling of the right — platinum blonde outrage machine Tomi Lahren. Lahren’s rants on Glenn Beck’s The Blaze draw the attention of thousands, even though they are mostly the equivalent of a sorority girl screaming about being dumped by her quarterback boyfriend.
On Wednesday evening Lahren paid a visit to The Daily Show, where host Trevor Noah set her straight about a few things. And Lahren, far from being the confident liberal-basher she portrays, couldn’t handle the pressure.
The conversation was civil, and Noah even took to Twitter on Thursday morning to thank Lahren.
Thank you for being my guest Tomi. Our goal should be to destroy these “bubbles” not each other. You’re always welcome on my show. https://t.co/AairL3cdAy

Noah proved you can have a civil conversation and still rip your opponent to shreds — in fact, his method was more effective than a screaming match because he didn’t come across looking like an ass while embarrassing his guest.
Take this moment, for example: While discussing the Black Lives Matter movement Lahren brings up the man who murdered five police officers in Dallas. She points out to Noah that the shooter said he committed the crime because of Black Lives Matter. Noah’s reply was thoughtful, calm, and perfect.
There are many things you can say… You cannot deny that the man had mental issues as well, and he was in a tough place. Just because you say the thing doesn’t mean it’s what it stands for.
You’re the same person that argued on your show that just because Donald Trump has supporters from the KKK doesn’t mean he’s in the KKK.
That was largely how the interview went. Lahren would read from the conservative playbook, and Noah would calmly shoot her down.
Even though Noah was gracious in thanking Lahren for her appearance, some of his Twitter followers were less kind.
@Trevornoah Yes, Tomi has views but they are disturbing. What I heard was white privilege, let’s not call it normal please.

@Trevornoah One’s views based in fact and the other’s in delusion and ignorance. It’s not even question of good sportsmanship.

Lahren is just the young face du jour of the conservative movement. She may not realize it, but she is destined to be another shooting star, just like former conservative whiners C.J. Pearson and Jonathan Krohn. Raise your hand if you remember either of those guys.
Pearson and Krohn have matured and become liberals. In Lahren’s case there is probably a stint on Fox News in her future before she retires to the young conservatives’ home, where she can live out her days, screaming about the cheerleader who stole her boyfriend.
